Tiger Pantry

Tiger Pantry is the University of Missouri’s campus food pantry, serving students, staff, and faculty in need of food assistance. Over a period of 3.5 years, I served the organization as the engagement coordinator and communications coordinator, before transitioning to primarily communications on behalf of the organization.

Social Media Management:

I took a non-active social media presence and grew Tiger Pantry’s following by 302% in 2 years, expanding our reach on Facebook and Instagram.

Thankful for Tiger Pantry Campaign:

I was the creative brain and execution behind “Thankful for Tiger Pantry,” a yearly donation and awareness campaign for the organization that occurs each November. In 2019, the campaign expanded to include partnerships with MU Residential Life, Mizzou Life, MSA, and Mizzou Parking & Transportation through a series of targeted and intentional social media posts throughout the month.

Client Relations:

I sent regular email newsletters to users of the pantry informing them of program updates, available resources, and any critical information. I also sent email newsletters to our general supporters and donors informing them of the good work Tiger Pantry accomplished.

Re-Branding:

I was an instrumental component in the re-branding of Tiger Pantry to its current mission to assist, empower, and educate. This re-branding allowed the pantry to better serve the needs of its users, while providing service to the campus at-large resulting in more partnerships, presentations, and engagement opportunities. I developed brand standards to guide the pantry’s official communications materials.
